The Silvertip uses unique jacket materials custom tailored for specific calibers in the line to assure maximum performance. There are two different jacket materials used, one for the high velocity calibers, like 357 Magnum, and one for the low velocity calibers, like 38 Special. This enables Winchester to custom tailor performance for each caliber and ensure rapid energy deposit. The hollow point provides maximum stopping power for personal defense scenarios, and the engineered jacket profile ensures reliable functioning, precise accuracy and consistant expansion.
